CARBCOMN at Concrete Day 2025 in Leuven, Belgium

On 16 October 2025, CARBCOMN was proudly represented by our partners from Ghent University and Orbix at the annual Concrete Day, organised by the Belgian Concrete Association (BBG-GBB).

At the event, our team showcased the CARBCOMN framework and presented the innovative carbonatable, slag-based materials forming the core of our envisioned carbon-negative material system. Visitors to the stand had the opportunity to view 3D-printed and carbon-cured sample extracts, demonstrating the project's progress over its first year.

We were also delighted that CARBCOMN was featured in the official Concrete Day magazine, recognising the project's contributions to advancing carbon-negative construction technologies.

The event provided an excellent platform to engage with experts, researchers and industry professionals, exchanging ideas and fostering collaboration toward a more sustainable and circular construction sector.
